    • word of mouth grows the network organically and gives new members the right introduction.

      • Collaborative networks
        • the Hub
        • London Hackspace

    • we need a storefront (online business card) to show what Picnic is
    • we need a way of communicating to possible new members

More members

  • Matthew: Why?
    • the main value of Picnic lies in the community of people and the skills they bring to the table.
    • more diversity is healthy
    • now mainly in South East, one cluster is less accessible for either teachers and learners. Local scale is good, but this should happen at across many places.
  • How?
    • for now: Membership of google group is ticket to Picnic
    • this needs:
      • People (with Google account) to request membership
      • People to be invited
    • Google groups is not easy and accessible, this brings us to feature of an eventual website / platform
