When: Monday 5 November - Friday 9 November Where: Somerset House, East Wing Floor -1, Inigo Room 5 of the John Berger exhibition
The Idea
Redrawing the Maps is a series of events inspired by the work of John Berger, taking place at the John Berger exhibition. One of the walls invites people to the Picnic process (see instructions @wall). We'll try to have someone from the Picnic community present every day (Monday - Friday) for at least an hour to help introduce and faciliate the proposal of workshops on the wall.
It would be nice to get as many proposals and name cards on the wall as possible. After a session has ended, we can invite the attendees to come have a look at the wall.
MK and Philo will update the virtual version of the wall.

Picnic Introduction @wall
We all hold different notions of what we wish to learn and what insights we have to impart.
By sharing our interests we can start a conversation that enables us not only to learn from each other, but also to make meaningful connections over the things that we are passionate about.
This wall invites you to a process of action and dialogue, leading up to a gathering at the end of the week.
We hope that you will join us in creating an experience, a Picnic, where each of us leaves with more perspectives (and possibly friends) than we arrived with.
Ultimately we will each shape the re- sult, as much as being shaped by the experience itself.
What would you like to learn or teach?
Your answer to this question will become a proposal for a topic you would like to explore in a workshop, either as a host, offering your in- sight, or as a participant, taking part in the session. Propose a topic
Take a proposal card and describe the topic you wish to explore in a one-hour workshop. By taking initiative, you invite others to connect, forming a cluster of shared intent. Show your interest
Do you want to share your skills or insights by hosting a workshop? Take a blue name card. Do you want to learn about a topic by participating in a workshop? Take an orange name card.
Write down your name, email address and twitter handle. This way, we can let you know which workshops will materialise on Friday afterno- on.
Attach your card around a proposed workshop that has your interest. You can leave your name cards around as many topics as you like. Come on Friday to host or participate
We will see which topics have gained more interest on Thursday after- noon. Join us on Friday to participate in the sessions, or maybe even get to host one. Have fun!
